Ushaw Moor Bus Shelters

Another Bus shelter in the village has been or is in the process of being dismantled, the shelter had been a disgrace and was in need of repair or rebuild.  A few weeks ago the shelter near Broompark had been taken down, I only hope these shelters are being replaced.

They have been targeted by local youths, being smashed and made dangerous, and were left in this state for months.

1 - I'm not Durham Council's biggest fan, but I can understand why it's taken so long to take these down. Ushaw Moor is, more and more, becoming the kind of village people want to leave instead of live. Whatever they put in place to replace these shelters will suffer the same fate.

There is so much damage being caused by teenagers, who also taunt others in the village, drink underage, take to using drugs and other unsociable activities.

Until all of these issues are taken seriously and tackled by the local authorities and the police, this is not going to get any better. (Comment this)
